[Thesis proposal regulations] Changes are a-happening

The new regulations and processes are being updated on the IMBA website as they become official and known, so go there (http://www.imba.ncku.edu.tw/curriculum/mastercurriculum/thesis.htm) for updated info.
For IIMBA students, the rules for proposal and defense are changing. We now only have one day a month we can choose from. The days coming up are:
December 15
January 12
February 23
You must sign up for your desired day in the office, and the new application form can be downloaded from the thesis section on the IMBA website (soon the updated form should be available in the office as well).
Seems like they will have three or four rooms going, one for each major, where two professors sit in each, and then add on your advisor (this is still unclear).
Remember:
1. You MUST use the official thesis template so your formatting is correct
2. You must give your proposal/thesis to the format checking team before printing (they should take around 1 week)
3. you should be giving the professors on your panel a copy of your completed proposal two weeks prior to your proposal date so that they can look it over.
This means you gotta be done with the proposal three weeks before you present! [that's Dec 22nd for us presenting on Jan 12th~~ Yaowza!]

update [as per discussion with Jay a few minutes ago]! the hard copies for our panel members only need to be handed in to the office one week before the proposal date so that they can be given to the professors by the office.
ONE WEEK BEFORE only, meaning 1 week for formatting police (soft copy) +1 week hard copy for profs (through office) = 2 weeks before proposal must be complete first 3 chapters
= for those of us on jan 12, we don’t have to be done until Dec 29th~~ woopwoop~
This whole process is so stupid….how can everyone present on the same day….and why are you telling us this JoJo? shouldn’t some official from the university tell us this?
the official notice just got posted on the IIMBA website. I posted here because I almost choked when I heard about the change (random by-the-way comment from someone) and so I figured after mentioning to the office that something official should be sent out to all seniors as soon as possible since it’s vital information, that I would post here just as a heads up until that notice came out – under the assumption that there were many others in my situation of needing-to-know (I have gotten accustomed to the pace of official information dissemination here).
i personally think the set-days make sense since it makes it all the easier for scheduling and professors (many universities use this method), but I agree that since our class is exceptionally big, I see it as a large feat to get all of us done within Jan, Feb and March dates (3 days, 30-40 each day…3-4 rooms, 10 per room per day…hoooya).
other universities have given students 10 min to present their proposal, then 10 min or so to ask questions and give advice, then they discuss amongst themselves, then bring student back in … all in all taking 40+ min I think. don’t know if our timings will change to something similar or not.
