New Year’s Party

The New Year’s Party is here! Thanks to everyone who has signed up and paid in advance. For those who missed the sign up deadline, you can still come and pay at the door NT$350. We will be meeting at 7:15 pm on December 26th at the Kuang Fu Main Gate to send people in taxis (Look for Ruslan or Tommy). We look forward to seeing you there!

The Annual Ford Trip

The trip will take place from Friday, December 18, 2009 to December 19, 2009 which consists of plant tour and lecture at Ford Company and all meals will be served. Please refer to the attachment itinerary for more details.

The price is NT $1500, initially it is NT $3000, but 50% will be subsidized by NCKU. (Pay to the IIMBA office; Contact : Tiffany Tsai# 53011 ).

New Method and Location for Uploading your E-Thesis

For all students who will upload their thesis after Dec. 1, 2009: you must follow the attached steps when uploading after Dec. 1 2009, otherwise you will not be able to complete your ‘leaving campus’ procedure.

IIMBA Business Cards

Department business cards are now being ordered! The cards are double sided, one side (white) with English information and the other (red) with Chinese information. You can put in your name, email address, and other details.

After you fill in the information, please contact a member of the student council to double check your information and pay. Order and Payment deadline is November 29th. The price is $250 for 300 cards. If you order but not pay you will not receive cards. Also note that you can only order cards if you have paid your student fees.

Fill in the form first, then confirm the information with the student council members. They will be making announcements in class over the next two weeks.

Dear Seniors,

We have begun the design and ordering of this years batch shirts. Here is what you need to know:

1. Each Senior who has paid their student fees is entitled to one shirt.

2. Everyone is welcome to order more, at a cost of 390NT each.

3. Sizing for the shirts will take place on January 4th ,5th , and 6th (2010).

4. Those who do not come to the sizing will be ordered a large (men) and a medium (women).

5. Shirts will be delivered at the end of January 2010 or the beginning of February.

Sizing Signup Dates (you can order more shirts at this time)

January 4,5,6 (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday) in the research room. 12:00pm – 4:00pm as well as during the student council meeting on the second floor Tuesday night 9-11:00.

NCKU Anniversary 11/11

The NCKU anniversary falls annually on November 11. Every department is going to be involved in a parade on Guang Fu Campus, by the track. The IIMBA department always participates in this parade to show the strength and diversity of our department. If you have any traditional dress or ornaments from your country, please bring them to show the pride of your country. Please note that this is a mandatory event for juniors, and that all IMBA students are invited to attend.

What: Participate in a university parade.
When: 8:00 am on November 11^th, Wednesday.
Where: In front of the Department of Management
(The IMBA building). We will walk over to the track together.
Who: All IMBA students, mandatory for juniors.
What to bring: Traditional dress from your country.

Also, there will be a relay race at around 10am. We would to like to submit two teams of 15 people: a 15 member men’s team, and a 15 member women’s team. If you would like to participate in the race, please contact Alfredo at alfredodelaguardia@yahoo.com. A sign up sheet will also be available in the IMBA office from Monday, November 2^nd to Sunday, November 8^th. Please sign up early! Also, you can talk to Tommy or Alfredo for more details.
